It has been a while since I've had a nice little vacation, and I'm so looking forward to our trip this summer! This will be the furthest north Riley and I have ever traveled, and we will be crossing the Canadian border for the first time ever! We usually head to the west coast to Santa Barbara, but this year will be different, and it will bring us to so many new and amazing places. I love the mountains, so I of course had to get back north as soon as possible. I can't wait to leave!
Then, we head off to Powell, WY for a beautiful nights stay on a ranch in a teepee, out in the middle of the Wyoming plains. I cannot wait to pull up! (hopefully before sunset!)
Next, we're off to Montana to visit Glacier National Park. The first night we are staying in a lovely bed in breakfast with onsite horseback riding. But then, for the next few days, we will be camping in the awesome park to truly experience nature.
After a few days in the park, we will head up to Canada (and hopefully get our passports stamped!) We're making our way to Calgary, AB to visit the amazing Banff National Park, which should be just as breathtaking as Glacier! Again, we'll camp a few days, and really experience Canada for the first time. Then, we'll make our way back home to Texas.
I'm excited about so many things on this trip... A nights stay in a teepee, seeing the universe in the sky without any lights to ruin the view, hiking through the mountains, visiting Canada, seeing new wildlife... It's all going to be amazing. And it's only a few days until we get back on the road!
This trip is a total of about 4,208 miles and 64 hours if we drove without stopping. I'm not so nervous as I used to be about driving across the United States, but I am a little worried about coming across a grizzly in one of the parks. But either way, we will be prepared, and I'm more than excited to see all of the wonderful sights!
I will of course be taking some select brands with me on the trip to take some lovely photos. And I will creating a travel video as well to a song that reminds me of being on the road.
If you've visited either Glacier or Banff National Park, leave a comment below and let me know some must see places within the parks!
